Welcome to Nritya Prerana International School of Bharatnatyam
Nritya Prerana International School of Bharatnatyam was started in the year 1984 by Mrs. Suchitra Date in Pune with the blessings of Guru Mr. Krishna A Mani was student of Guru Kittappa Pillai son of Thanjavoor Quartret Ponnaiah Pillai. Nritya Prerana believes in preserving and propagating this art form as handed down by their Gurus. This is achieved through regular teaching classes, performances in and outside India, lecture-demos, workshops and hosting Nritya Sabhas.
Every student of the institute is encouraged to perform whenever the opportunity arises, as
dance is a performing art. The institution has trained over 800 students till date in
Thanjavoor style of Bharatnatyam and 120 students have completed their Arangetram.
Classes are conducted in open air amphitheatre in small batches for personalized attention.

Mrs. Suchitra Date
Director Started learning Bharatnayam at the tender age of 3 1/2. Thus her training in dance started 3 years before Academics. She performed her Arangetram after years of training under guidance of Guru Mr. Krishna A Mani was student of Guru Kittappa Pillai son of Thanjavoor Quartret Ponnaiah Pillai.
Aditi Date
Principal An established danseuse she runs the Nritya Prerana branch in Waterloo, Canada. She performs and choreographs Bharatnatyam repertoires as well as fusions for those who have not trained in classical dance.
Nrupa Sonam
Principal An established performer in Bharatnatyam, she is regularly invited to perform at dance festivals. An excellent choreographer herself, she is an agile and innovative performer. She trains students in this dance form at Paud Phata Pune
Shruti Tekawade
Vice Principal Excellent dance performer and with positive attitude, she is very good at supervising and teaching the quality dance. Worked as a teacher in-charge and assisted Guru Mrs. Suchitra Date in dance therapy sessions
Juilee Patwardhan
Assistant Teacher Performed in ballets like Deepshikha, Kunti-Ek Katha etc Performed at the Natyanjali festival, Chimdambaram, Thiruvaroor, Kumbhakonam and Brihadeshwara(2014). Performed at the “Kalai Cholai” Garden of arts festival, Chennai (2014)
Dhanashree Pandit
Assistant Teacher 6 years of training at ‘Kaladarshani Nrityalay’, Pune, under the able guidance of Guru Darshana Dutta. 5 years of training including Arangetram at Nritya Prerana School of Bharatanatyam, Pune, under the able guidance of Guru Suchitra Date. Completed 'Visharad' degree in Bharatanatyam under Akhil Bharatiya Kala Kendra, Delhi in 2015.
